Too Long, But I Got The Goods!

Taking too long is the theme of today's post, not only because I took forever in updating yo asses; but also because this playlist is gunna be too long. I wanna just bring you a mess of different types of music and artists, so let's consider today's meal like a buffet style cafeteria, or maybe your neighborhood Golden Corral. If you have any questions on who plays what song I'd be happy to let you know just give me a shout, but for now I'm not gunna list the artists for you. Deal with it! But I do want to apologize for being away from the site, I've been real busy with workin and new music ventures, that the blog got the back burner for a bit. I hope to be back in action, but don't hold me to it. Be patient, let's get to the music now. I packed the sucker with almost 30 tunes, I spread the jam nice and even with some hip-hop a lil bit of indie, and of course some dance. And I also threw in a little desert for ya guys and put up a new WellFed rock mix. Now are u not entertained!

Give Me Some Of That Nasty Water, I'll Take It One Sip At A Time

I'm sure most of you have already caught on like wild fire when the Fiery Furnaces first came out, back in 2000, but I on the other hand did not. I guess I was too busy not checking them out and they flew right under my radar. Yes yes, this means I totally just got turned on by the brother and sister duo, but that doesn't make me a bad person, just a little more educated. It is very rare when bands slip past me, but they are a breath of fresh air when they come around. So it's ok, right? When I was in Nashville for my brother's wedding a couple of weeks ago, congrats to the two of 'em, was when I first heard the Fiery Furnaces. The siblings are from Brooklyn and are currently touring in the UK, but will be back on the mainland in November. They must really love to work, or just really love their fans because they have put out new material each year since 2000. So after a little digging and soul searching, I bring a couple of my favorite tracks so far in my Fiery Furnaces' quest. The first track "Single Again" is off their debut album Gallowbird's Bark (2003) and is the song that turned me on at the wedding. "I'm Gonna Run" is off their 3rd album EP (2005). Let me know what ya think about my slip up.

Climb On Board

With this being my first post, I wanted to hit you with a personal favorite right now for ya. Here's the English group Friendly Fires. The picture above (which yours truly took) is from their set at Lollapalooza. Awesome band if your trying to get "the dogs barkin". The song "On Board" from their debut self-titled album offers up a funky bass line and some fresh lyrics that get ya singing along. Only good things are in store for these guys in the future.

Dig it
