Cut, Copy, and Paste

Today's post is on a band hailing from Australia, and I'm sure many of you are already familiar with them due to the success of their last album In Ghost Colours, but as many of you may not know Cut Copy has a new album coming out, and I got a couple rough cuts coming your way. But I also want to add Chromeo to this hot bowl of chili. Chromeo and Holy Ghost! are playing @ The Masquerade in ATL, and me the boys will be hitting the road tomorrow mourning for a weekend of electronica, dancing, and soul food. We don't normally drive to far from the nest, but certain occasions call for certain actions, sooo.......wish us luck!

Whats Jamaican?

Formerly known as Poney Poney, Jamaica is the next hottest thing to come out of Paris. Their debut album, No Problem, was produced by Xavier de Rosnay of Justice. Having said that, Jamaica is a grunge rock band with that classic Justice kick drum. I Think I Like U is one of their popular singles that you may know that was released a little bit ago. Catchy lyrics, radical tune. Secrets is one my other favs off of the album...actually the whole album rocks with killer electric riffs and lyrics that make you wanna sing along (even if you don't know them).

Straight from the Motor City

I just got back from a trip to Detroit, MI....and I come bearing gifts! It's something a little different that you would expect from Detroit rock city, but you can still hear the soul of the city throughout the song. The band is Desktop and they have a new EP dropping soon, so in anticipation here's an early appetizer.

PBR Breath

To me, nothing complements rock n' roll better than an ice cold beer. I don't think it gets much classier than good ole fashion PBR. Nothing complements a PBR better than Jacksonville Beaches own, DarkHorse Saloon. Following the footsteps of other local band BLORR, DHS offers the crowd that throbbing, pulsating rock n' roll (as they like to describe it) that gets everybody and their mothers shakin'. With an EP due out soon, DHS just released their first music video that was locally filmed, directed and produced. Be sure to check it out and show the guys some love at their myspace or facebook page.

P.S.-our buddies BLORR have been busy recording as well so make sure to check their new stuff as well. Support these rock n' roll pioneers of Jax Beach.
